June was a lot better than May!

As I was running projection reports the other night, I found myself peeking above my lap top at the television to see this somewhat .mad. looking man shouting repeatedly .June was a lot better than May!. Who was this crazed man and why was he saying what I had said just earlier in the day? That at eLocal Listing .June was definitely better than May..

Jim Cramer from CNBC.s Mad Money was ranting about how, despite the predictions of the protagonists, the price of gas had not risen to $4.50 per gallon, and that company after company had confirmed an upward trend in their June earning predictions. Chicken Little; the sky has not fallen. Despite the experts doom and gloom predictions, June offered a glimmer of hope, and I could not agree more- June was going to be better than May.

I had just spent the early part of my evening running a variety of reports to assemble my final monthly revenue projections for June, and noted the same thing; June is definitely going to trend a lot better than May. eLocal Listing.s Clicks2Calls program drives on-line lead generation through effective Internet Marketing, and as a result we continually monitor call volume. Calls translate into revenue for our customers, partners, and our company.

This feeling that June was better than May had been in the back of my mind for a few weeks. Earlier in the week, after running call volume reports for Monday, I noted that the number of calls generated from our programs seemed high, as a matter of fact, it was the highest Monday call volume for all of 2011. After some additional research I realized that it was in fact the highest revenue Monday in the history of eLocal Listing. The revenue projections for our Affiliate Partners saw an increase of approximately 8% and our total call volume saw an increase of 10%. So yes Mr. Cramer, things are looking up and I find myself gleefully repeating; “June was a lot better than May”.

This is just a thought, but maybe next month before all you macroeconomic theorists predict the lingering depression in the U.S. economy you should just give me a call and ask for my July predictions.

After all, eLocal Listing represents over 100,000 local businesses, providing them with internet marketing through Local Search; and small businesses are truly the barometer of economic predictions and let’s hope that July is better than June.

Happy Independence Day America!
